Windows 10 doesn't allow overclocking even after adjusting BIOS or Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. You need to go to "C:\Windows\System32\" and remove "mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll". It took me six hours trying various combinations like 5820k and 5930k versus a 6800k, but I couldn't get the Broadwell CPUs to OC without damaging that file. Is this typical for newer Intel chips? The latest Intel CPUs I own are Broadwell. Also, a photo shows the 5820k I replaced was purchased on launch day in 2014, running at 4.6GHz and 1.4V—most people used that setting back then.
