Ryzen 5800x, nVidia 3070, 750w PSU, Strix B550-F mobo
Currently available options include a 9070 XT or a 5070, both offering comparable prices (one online, one locally). I’m struggling to decide between them. My gaming setup consists of a 55-inch 4K monitor at 120Hz with VRR, and an older 165Hz 1080p display that I rarely use. I mainly play Elder Scrolls Online and Cyberpunk 2077, spending over 600 hours on the latter on my PS5. While I love games running close to 100 FPS, I still want improved visuals. Ray Tracing would be a big plus, but I have limited experience with it—only YouTube tutorials and none with Path Tracing.
I plan to upgrade to a 9800x3d later this year. Deciding between frame generation and rasterization feels like a tough choice. By now, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about it, but I’m starting to feel a bit lost.

Never think about Frame Gen or even DLSS/Upscaling when making your purchase choices. It doesn't perform consistently and its quality differs across games. Some titles use it perfectly, while others render it completely unusable. Stick to raster-based decisions and treat other features as optional extras when they function.
