I’m upgrading to the 7800X3D and will need a new motherboard and RAM. Can I move my M.2 drive from the old board into the new one? Should I remove the GPU, chipset, and audio drivers? If yes, what steps should I follow? Thanks!

Do you own BitLocker? Windows Hello? Which Windows edition are you using? If they provide apps or management tools, I recommend using them, otherwise Windows should handle everything.

Start with a fresh setup of Windows. It's not mandatory, but I compare it to tidying up your home before swapping out every single piece of furniture.
