Upgrade? Change? Drop the requirements?
My current PC is an Acer Aspire GX 781. CPU: Intel Core i5 7400 3GHz. GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 3gb. Memory: 8GB DDR4 RAM + 256GB SSD + 2TB External HDD.
I notice it doesn’t run the games I play (Warzone, Hunt, Sea of Thieves, etc.) as smoothly as I’d like. I’m unsure if my expectations are too high or if the PC needs an upgrade. Should I consider selling it or replacing some components?
Your computer really needs an upgrade for those games. The 1060 with 6GB is a bit ahead of your GPU, but it’s already feeling a bit outdated. It might be better to wait and switch your GPU once prices come down. You could lower shadows, effects, reflections, and reflections to the minimum, and maybe keep texture detail at a medium level for better performance in your games.

Uncertain about the remaining two titles, Warzone definitely requires a CPU with at least eight threads and 16GB of RAM. Performance may be limited, but expect stuttering and FPS drops.
Speed is on the lower side when compared to new components, but your benchmarks depend on specific configurations. Are you using 1080p or higher resolution? What settings are active right now? If you reduce them slightly, it might be more practical given the cost of upgrading graphics cards.
