Approximate Purchase Date:
This month
Budget Range:
300$(?)
System Usage from Most to Least Important:
playing/streaming - RPG games,MMOs nothing too fancy/demanding
Are you buying a monitor:
Yes
Parts to Upgrade:
GPU,Monitor and PSU to match I guess
Do you need to buy OS:
No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
amazon
Location:
Bangalore,India
Parts Preferences:
wtv works
Overclocking:
no
SLI or Crossfire:
Yes / No / Maybe
Your Monitor Resolution:
1366x768 now, probably 1920x1080 soon.
Additional Comments:
(e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:
So heres the TLDR : I made a nice budget build in 2017
BUT DID NOT GET A GRAPHICS CARD
,The PC itself has been working fine for 7years now, I play games in low quality with terrible FPS(never seen what 60FPS feels like) and play/stream retro RPGs just fine. I just need to juice this up to run games that require a dedicated graphics card p much.
The help I need here is this: since alot of these parts don't even exist in the market anymore, what GPU would actually work with this build? Do i need a PSU upgrade as well? Is it actually worth it?
the specs are as listed

~$200 for a very low quality dedicated GPU (RTX 3050, RX 6600),
~$75-100 for a good PSU,
~$100-150 for a decent 1080p display.
I would say no.
You’d be much better off saving for a while and building a fresh new setup with modern hardware.
Tell me which games you’re playing and which ones you’d like to try.

Check if your motherboard works with any GPUs besides 1080 TI.

Also I want to enjoy games similar to Dota2 (30fps), Persona, Yakuza series, Hades2, Baldur's Gate3, Final Fantasy 7 remake.

You could purchase an RX 6600 and a new power supply for $300 and save the rest for upgrading the remaining parts

your motherboard works with any PCIe card.
the power supply's available wattage and cables play a bigger role than the board itself.
whether you can use the maximum PCIe speeds depends on the motherboard.
but, any current card should still function and be compatible.
