I was thinking about upgrading from the Ryzen 5 5600 to the Ryzen 7 5800x3d or 7x. It might save you some cash since 3D VChash shows it, and switching to an 8-core model could be better for gaming. Thanks for your help! Have a great day.

Unless your games run on the CPU and gain from extra cores or the X3D cache size, you won’t see any improvement.

You can purchase the 5800x3d for about $200 to $250 and the 5800x for around $150. It might seem like a small improvement until you consider x3d options, which could offer a bit more speed with a good amount of RAM. I recommend going for the 5800x3d.

Requesting complete system details. High performance requires effective cooling since high-end models like 5800x or 5800x3d can overheat and need strong thermal management. Cooler components and a suitable case are essential. The processor type matters too—lower-end options won’t handle full 8-core power. Which games are you planning to upgrade for? A 5600 remains adequate for speed.

The remaining specifications? The 5600, 5600X, 5700X, and 5800X deliver comparable performance in games. Extra cores are useful when you're juggling many tasks or boosting productivity. The 5900X and 5950X occasionally outperform the others due to more L3 cache, though the improvement isn't substantial. The 5800X3D shines on the AM4 platform, but it's mainly necessary for mid-range or high-end GPUs running at 1080p or top-tier GPUs at 1440p.

I play Assassin's Creed Valhalla in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, smooth at 60 FPS, achieving around 99% GPU usage.

Indicates low CPU dependency. A quicker processor can only enhance basic frame rates or minor performance dips. Requires a more powerful GPU if usage stays under 90%.
