You recently installed a new computer and managed the Windows installation smoothly. After restarting, you adjusted your BIOS settings and boot order, but Windows failed to load. Now, when you restart Windows, the HDD isn’t recognized in the installation screen, though it still shows up in your BIOS. You attempted a full BIOS reset and physically connected the drive again, yet Windows couldn’t find it. Consider checking if the drive is properly seated and try formatting it as a secondary drive, or verify that the BIOS settings are correctly set for your new hardware.

Ensure Secure Boot is enabled, Legacy support is disabled, and Legacy features are off before installing Windows. This setting is crucial for UEFI systems to avoid installation problems, driver conflicts, and activation errors. Check if the HDD appears in the BIOS or functions on a different machine.
