There isn’t a single source for all drivers or service packs for Windows XP Pro. You’ll need to check official Microsoft sites, community forums, or reputable retailers for downloads. For your Dell OptiPlex 960, consider using a reliable retro gaming PC guide to set it up properly. To update offline, you can download updates from USB drives or CDs and install them at your convenience. If you’re also working on a Windows 95 or 98SE system, both require regular service packs and updates for stability and security.

Many websites offer downloads for SP1, SP2, and SP3. I used them to upgrade my XP laptop. For 95/98 SE, it's possible but not essential. I installed everything myself since I preferred that approach. The 98 SE version doesn’t nag you with frequent updates like the 10 version does.

XP: Set up SP3, consider using SDIO for drivers if they're missing 9x: Pick the desired version, often 95OSR2 or 98SE, and try to locate the drivers yourself manually, which can be quite challenging based on your hardware.

I'll check it out. It might seem silly, but would I need to link that old computer to the internet for updates?

Avoid linking unless you grasp the consequences, as updates aren't necessary. Installing software typically includes required components automatically.
