I’m trying to upgrade from Windows 7 on a HDD with two partitions. My goal is to switch to Windows 10 while keeping the two partitions, one on each drive. I’m unsure whether I should upgrade to Windows 10 first and then move it to the SSD, or vice versa. I also read that fresh installing Windows 10 with a Windows 7 key doesn’t work, so I’m a bit confused and don’t want to make mistakes.

Reinstalling Windows on an SSD is significantly quicker than transferring from an HDD to SSD, though your preference matters. The final outcome isn't crucial. Choosing the 'save nothing' option ensures a clean setup, even if you skip driver installation or updates during the process. Just remember to enable it before beginning the upgrade.
