You saved a pirated copy of Windows 8.1 Pro on your Toshiba, but you already had Windows 7 installed. To revert back to Windows 7, you’ll need to remove the new installer and reinstall the older version from a legitimate source.

Launch the Windows 7 installation from a disk or USB drive. The process may require formatting the device, so ensure your data is saved.

The procedure remains identical for Windows 7 and Windows 8. Obtain a bootable USB from the provided link: http://blog.powerbiz.net.au/fixes/using-...windows-8/. Power on the USB drive, perform a clean installation, and you’ll have the chance to remove existing partitions. Set up a fresh partition and proceed with the setup.

Initially, it's a poor idea to mention pirated files. However, attempt to install it—it should prompt a downgrade to W7.

I'm attempting to install Windows 7 on a Dell XPS L501x because of an HD failure. I need to switch to WD Black, but the system blocks me from installing the same OS. I've tried various solutions and haven't encountered this issue before on similar machines. Anyone have suggestions? Also, I've changed drives, but they're all correctly recognized. When the installation window appears, it's blank even though the drive shows in BIOS.
