Updating the new Mobo version

Hello everyone, wondering if switching from an ASRock H310M-HDV to an Asus ROG H370-F Gaming motherboard is safe. Before or after the swap, what steps should I take? This is my first time doing it myself—any advice?

Nothing really. Maybe a chance of OS crashing because it still contins old copy of drivers meant for the old mobo.

If the operating system crashes, you may try restarting it or checking for updates. Before replacing the motherboard, it’s not necessary to uninstall unless you’re upgrading software that requires it.

Ensure a backup is created on another drive distinct from the one running the operating system. You'll also require an OS installation media (ISO file on a USB stick). In case of crashes, reinstall the OS onto the boot drive—this erases everything, so backing up important data is essential.

I download the OS prior to modifying the board, then. Unnecessary files can be re-downloaded after a clean wipe. Thanks for the details! Appreciate your help!
