Still, the chances of getting a fake file are extremely small—unless someone managed to hack the system, which would require significant expertise and put many people at risk. Unless you're highly skilled in firmware analysis, the effort likely isn't worth it for you.

Because it's a bios file that is flashing your hardware, it's not some software you can install and if it's compromised you can always do something about it.
