Hey there, I got my self a cheap mini pc on aliexpress, now i want to be clear, i wasnt expecting much, and at this point im having fun. I found that the MediaTek wifi card is ready to toss out, its can barely crack 1.5mb/s down on wifi, i went in and bought myself an Intel card. This has arrived, and i mounted it, and the pc wont turn on, it s 100% down to the wifi card. The specs on the pc is an engineering sample Ryzen 5600H. I was wondering, if its a setting in the bios or if there is a different reason it simple wont boot. I have a bios editing usb stick, but i honestly dont know what im looking at or for, or if its even possible. Just wondering if its a dead end or why the pc wont boot with the intel wifi card?

Doing away with the Intel card and reassembling everything should let the PC start up normally. Just make sure you didn’t mess anything else.

Do you have the complete details or a specific version in mind?

Uncertain without precise model details, yet it seems the updated card might be a CNVi rather than a full PCIe version.

It's 2025, not 1985.

We still have the LAN party, it's much simpler now.

Perhaps, yet an Ethernet link remains quicker and more reliable in all areas. The sole advantage of Wi-Fi is the ease of use without needing a physical connection.

It's fascinating how most devices rely on Wi-Fi instead of Ethernet. Surely Ethernet is quicker—700MB/s versus 1GB/s downloads... does it really count? It feels like a debate about NVMe speeds. Latency is almost negligible now, and it doesn't affect the vast majority of users. You're right; they're essentially arguing over who's older.
