You're starting out with your PC build, right? Most guides suggest updating drivers after installing the OS, but some warn against updating BIOS—it can cause serious issues. For your Asus X99 Deluxe, you've got a USB drive ready for BIOS updates. Decide if you want to proceed there.

On Asus's site, there are 46 driver files under "Drivers and Tools" for Windows 8.1. Check the list and see if updating all of them is necessary. The tabs on Memory/Device Support and CPU Support might be useful later, but don't worry if you're unsure right now. Just focus on getting your main system running smoothly.

You're doing great—keep asking questions!

Transfer the latest setup to a USB drive. Navigate to the BIOS menu and locate EZ Flash under tools. Locate the file and proceed with the update.

The latest BIOS update will typically incorporate all previous changes unless you have specific modifications. Your method of saving the update on a flash drive and using the BIOS menu is a common approach. Just ensure the drive is properly formatted and connected correctly, then restart your system to see if the update appears.

The drivers are for Windows, not the BIOS. The BIOS only affects how the motherboard handles drivers; these files are what you should use. You can find them at the provided links.

You only require one solution. It can be updated via any USB connection. In the BIOS, locate an option named EZ FLASH and proceed with the flashing process.

You're looking for BIOS 1104, a .CAP file format. The list you mentioned should work with Windows installers that let you click and download. Let me know if you need help with anything else!

Check the bios update details. If it won't affect you, skip the update.
