Hello everyone. I'm new to Macs, but my sister's boyfriend wiped everything from his drive and now wants me to help him reinstall MacOS. He says it's similar to Windows setups—just create a bootable USB and install there. Here are some key points to keep in mind and watch out for:

Press CMD, Option and R together, then power on the machine. Release when you notice a spinning globe and the message "Starting internet recovery". It might prompt for a Wi-Fi network—just let go of the key combo and log in. This will start your Mac in a recovery mode from the web, giving you access to repair and reinstall options.
