A few years back I sold my Dell Dimension XPS T500. Now I’m considering a new one. It has a password and the seller doesn’t have it. The system runs Windows 98, and my old PC had a Windows 98 reinstall disk. I understand Windows 98 has a Cancel option, but I need to fully erase the password. Can I use the installation disk from my computer to restore the Ebay version? And if so, is there any way to remove the password without restoring it? Also, I’m certain there’s a Cancel button, but I really want the password gone!
