My CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600. I'm getting ready to switch to a Ryzen 5000 board by applying the newest BIOS F51, after which I can upgrade to the beta version once available. With my existing BIOS F5, I'm unsure about the proper steps to transition to F51. The documentation mentions an incremental update process, and I've seen the red indicators but haven't updated before. I'm seeking clearer guidance to avoid damaging my motherboard. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time!

Remove F31 from the process, the remainder remains acceptable.

Sure, just to clarify—there’s no particular reason mentioned for removing F31. Everything else appears to be in order, though I’m still a bit unsure since this is my first time doing incremental bios updates. This might be the reason you’re asking.

Yes, an incremental update is a process. Typically I just apply the latest version, CMIIW.

In my situation, yes. If I had a more recent BIOS before deciding to upgrade to F51 then it would simply be a single flash (i.e., F40 → F51). Additionally, Gigabyte also demands a specific process at F32. Quite odd indeed.

Keep in mind: I’m using the same board and upgraded from a 2600X to a 3600XT. After swapping the CPU, I faced some stability problems. I updated the BIOS from F52 to F60c this morning, but the lowest PCIe 1x port stopped detecting my Wi-Fi card. Relocating it to the PCIe 4x slot fixed the issue, though further troubleshooting is needed.
