I own an x370 CROSSHAIR VI HERO Wi-Fi and wish to upgrade my BIOS from 1602 to a Zen 2 compatible version. Should I just download the newest release or are there specific BIOS updates required along the way? It seems the support documentation doesn’t reference any intermediate updates.

It would be wise to check the list on their support site for recommended intermediary versions. If they advise starting with version X, follow that path to avoid issues... or risk getting stuck on the board.
