To improve performance, adjust the extension.update.interval setting in about:config to a lower value (it's measured in seconds). It appears the default is often 86400 seconds, which equals 24 hours.
New profile and reinstall failed. Firefox now correctly displays "customise," but the action button either does nothing or leads to a blank "about:customizing" page. Note: A user found the same problem by searching online. Edit II: Discovered that clicking the refresh button in the address bar no longer opens a new tab. I don’t like this update. Edit III: Forced to go back to Firefox 28. I’m confused why Mozilla keeps stripping features and turning into a Chrome clone.
Interesting, mine was also set to 86400, but I'm certain a few weeks back an update was released and Firefox hadn't received it yet. Adjusted it to 12 hours just as a precaution. Also added this tool: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...e-checker/ Thanks once more.
Thanks a lot, that’s all I needed—the compact menu back. They messed up; the other updates look great.
