They're merged in the address bar. The old prominent button disappeared and reappeared with the theme restorer, but it no longer combines properly. The specific link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...src=search doesn't resolve the issue for me. It's just a minor detail; I'll investigate further or accept it. Thanks for your help. Someone else will likely ask next, so please stay.
Just a note: it’s almost identical to the original, just the main controls combined. That’s fine: http://i.imgur.com/s8lZ3Z2.png
You have many shortcuts saved in the address bar. I've installed CTR in nightly, and under options -> main -> General UI you can restore the star button to the URL bar and merge Stop&reload options. You won't need the dedicated star button addon. I'll stay online all day.
Check your bookmarks section—your sidebar is packed with useful links. I usually have everything organized, but I only had one folder called "old bookmarks" with around 500 items. Finding the settings was tough at first, but now it’s all set up perfectly, thanks!
While this discussion is active, core features aren't responding. I launch a browser and see an empty tab—no "most visited" links. The real issue is that the "customize" option leads to a blank "about:customizing" page, even when add-ons are turned off.
I also don’t have the most popular links since I use a configuration in tabmixplus. I’m sorry, I don’t have any other details.
On FF29+, press the three lines, then ?, select Restart with addons disabled and check if it improves things. If not, create a new profile by closing FF and using Win+R to run Firefox.exe -p, then choose New profile. If still issues persist, consider a reinstall. To set your most-visited page, type "about:newtab" into the address bar and configure it as the default startup page.
It seems fastdial is attempting a workaround but isn't successful. The default functionality still blocks access. I observed Firefox's auto-update feature is disabled, refreshing only occasionally. When issues arise, I visit the add-on section and often discover updates Firefox hasn't detected on its own!
I can still reach the most visited page by launching a new tab, but I don't want to see a blank white screen when opening it. In my mind, the default should display my home page (as set in the options menu), yet it doesn't seem to do that well. Thinking about it, the usual behavior is to show me my home page, but again, it fails to progress. Edit: As I mentioned, it functions both with and without fastdial. These issues remain even after restarting with addons turned off. I'm about to try a new profile or reinstall.
