I've always relied on a high-end desktop setup with two large monitors for my photography and gaming needs. Before the pandemic, I worked remotely three days a week, so I used it to access my virtual desktop. Nowadays, I'm primarily using my high-spec phone for browsing, email, and light tasks—most of which I could have handled on the laptop except for photography and some games. The Surface book didn’t quite fit the bill either; its resolution was too high and it felt sluggish for more demanding Photoshop work like panoramas. I liked the touch screen and the pen occasionally, but I never removed the keyboard for anything substantial. I even hoped the insurance company could fix it without upgrading, especially since Microsoft wasn’t helping, but the repair person said they could. 😂 Ironically, I’ve been stuck at home lately, and the laptop would have been useful if it weren’t broken!
