It’s unlikely to encounter major conflicts, but compatibility depends on the specific driver version and system updates. Older OSes may not fully support newer GPU drivers, so testing is recommended.

Mac lacks drivers. Just those included with the setup. That means you're essentially left with a basic option.

I don’t understand. I thought you needed drivers for GPUs on a Mac. I realized Apple had options for the devices they supported, but I thought Nvidia managed the drivers for their GPUs.

The Nvidia Alternative Web Drivers are compatible only with Sierra, El Cap, and Yosemite. Each operating system requires its own version that must be downloaded individually. Sierra version is 367.15, El Cap is 346.03, and Yosemite is 346.02. It's worth noting that Pascal isn't supported on Mac yet. Either Nvidia is restricting the 370 series drivers under an NDA (perhaps the 2017 mbp will use a Pascal version) or they have no intention of supporting Pascal on Mac.
