Hey everyone! I'm working with an Asus P9X79 WS that uses IMPI version. It seems the manufacturer hasn't provided much information about this model—only a page for the P9X79 WS itself, and boards look different there. The only BIOS update I found is version 1208 from a third-party seller, which was linked to an IMPI 4901 board. Hopefully, someone else uses this board and has insights on stock BIOS versions or community support. Any advice would be appreciated!

I purchased the same board again. It came from eBay labeled a standard ASUS P9Z79 WS, but it was actually an IPMI model. I sent it back because it was too costly to deal with those issues, like missing BIOS options and strict RAM requirements.

Still relying on the non-IMPII 4901 bios edition.

Do you have any suggestions for getting this board to function properly? I've exhausted all options and still can't see the image. It's really frustrating. I think I'm using the stock 1208 bios from Asus, at least it worked with Flashback. The machine powers on, completes startup checks, and shows "A0" on the screen—seems normal. But no GPU output appears. I've swapped in several cards, tried different slots, and minimized to just one RAM stick plus one SATA drive. Still nothing! Did you need any specific steps to get it running? Is there an AUX jumper involved? (the other models mentioned that) Appreciate any advice you can offer—I'd love to get this up and running.

Risky stuff with non-Impulse BIOS—better flash to a more powerful board. I’ve done some BIOS tweaks on my P5Q and P5Q Pro, mainly for performance. It looks like it works well and gives a noticeable boost compared to the original setup.
