Hello, your system started as an Intel i9 9900K with a RTX 2070. The first big upgrade was to a RTX 4080, which gave performance that matched expectations. Later, you upgraded the CPU, memory, and RAM to an Intel i9 13900K (ASUS z790-F) with 32GB DDR5 RAM. After these changes, both on Windows 10 and 11, your graphics performance is very poor—often below 15 FPS on 3D Mark. This issue appears before or after the CPU upgrade. Anyone have suggestions on what might be causing this problem?
You don't require the Z790. The B760 will work perfectly. Prioritize purchasing RAM that's fast and responsive. The CPU gets extremely hot, so verify your cooler capacity, case airflow, and fan performance. If your power supply exceeds 800W, you likely won't need an upgrade.
PSU is Seasonic 1000R Gold. I'm testing Cinebench in continuous mode; temperatures haven't exceeded 81°C (water cooled) for the CPU yet. For GPUs, no application has shown temps surpassing 50°C (ASUS TUF GAMING 4080).
It seems like you're checking if your system is using an integrated graphics card. Are your displays connected to the GPU or the main motherboard?
No, there was no significant increase in usage during the games.
GPU activity stays minimal—essentially nonexistent. It seems the 4080 isn’t being used effectively, though based on what I observe, it should be working properly.
Performed a 3DMark test. The machine is solid and capable of sharing screenshots. It will help us assess whether performance meets expectations.
