I recently chose to modernize my old computer with a new processor, motherboard, and SSD. I tried it outside the case—it worked with BIOS, then everything went into the case. Once inside, Windows booted from the USB drive on the HDD once, then turned off. After installing Windows on the SSD, I restarted it and everything started up, but the mainboard’s VGA LED stayed red and no peripherals appeared. The BIOS shows a Ryzen 3000 series ready status. My system is using an Amd RX 470 with 4GB RAM, a Thermaltake 530W PSU, and a 2TB M.2 SSD with two 1TB HDDs, both disconnected now. Help would be appreciated.
Reconnect the SATA cable, secure the GPU, and ensure the PCIe connector is clean to restore the CMOS.
I attempted all possible fixes except the CMOS reset. The device displayed after clearing CMOS, but Windows installation failed. I encountered a blue screen during a restart, though the display remained blue. After shutting it down, I tried to start it again without success—no peripheral output detected, but the VGA LED stayed on. Should I still try the CMOS reset?
Use the igpu with the boot drive to power on. If that fails, reset the CMOS.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I used the boot drive but it didn’t work. I reset the CMOS with the jumpers and tried using a screwdriver for about 25 seconds, but nothing changed except other devices lost signal. Did I do it correctly or should I remove the battery?

I took everything out, but the only parts still attached were the CPU power cable and the boot drive. Should I remove both? I’m removing the motherboard power just to be safe and avoid damaging the mainboard.
