Absolutely, the visual updates are essential now. You don’t need to alter the core gameplay, but these enhancements to the interface and graphics are highly appreciated. The remastered release is likely achieved through modifications or direct integration within the game.
I don’t care about graphics mods, it still feels like deviating from the original design. The UI in Skyrim isn’t great, but I’ve always managed to enjoy the game without altering it, even after hundreds of hours. Time, patience, and attention aren’t things I prioritize for modding. If I’m not satisfied with the base experience, I’ll pick another game. But overall, I haven’t felt the need to change anything—I never thought about fixing it.
"Top image comes from Hodiltons video of NLVA 2.0, bottom image is from an E3 video of Skyrim Special Edition." It’s funny to think how impressive the special edition looks compared to what we see after five years of mods.
It's not a lack of understanding and it isn't happiness, that's all I care about. The game isn't flashy, but it works and I still had fun. I can enjoy playing Witcher 3 on high settings and then jump into Space Invaders on my old Atari 2600 later. I don’t feel the need to mess around with mods for little gains. With over 600 games on Steam, I’d rather explore something fresh instead of wasting time tweaking mods. I get that mods can be cool, but personally I’m not interested. I just want to experience the game as the developers meant it to be.
