Hello everyone, I just completed my new rig using a 7800 x3d and wanted to tweak it before installing games. I often read about undervolting to boost temps and performance. Under full load my temps hit 78°C. PBO is enabled but no curve optimizer is active. Is the optimizer safe? What if it stops because of instability? How do I return to BIOS? Attached are the stats from running Cinebench 2024. Thanks for your support!

Go back to the BIOS settings and pull the under-voltage a bit more aggressively. These temperatures stay manageable with PBO enabled, especially during full load. Once you shut it down before reaching under-voltage, check if performance improves.

It depends on the situation—some devices restart automatically, while others require resetting the CMOS settings before starting over.

It will simply restart. CO is quite secure, right? Open it and adjust the settings to NEGATIVE 30 for all cores max. Test it and observe the results. If it doesn’t work, you can target individual cores or lower the setting further. My setup uses -30 for most cores except a few exceptions.
