I'm actually beginning to enjoy IE 11. The theme is just a homepage, which is disappointing for anime lovers, but it's not too bad after you went through the security settings. It doesn't slow down much (at least I didn't notice any performance drop compared to Firefox). Plus, it includes some features I haven't seen in other browser software.
I noticed they’ve handled this before. My top pick from the crying GIF when using Firefox is that it’s not my desktop wallpaper.
I'm using IE10 on my desktop and IE11 on the laptop. IE11 runs significantly faster than FF. The YT feature isn't related to IE—it's just YT itself, though it appears to have stability issues now. Have you considered pinning Bing for your homepage? It offers customizable backgrounds and sometimes animations. If you have a Bing desktop toolbar, it will apply the same background as your wallpaper, so your wallpaper changes daily.
