Hello, I recently upgraded my CPU from an Intel i3-4130 to an Intel i5-4670K. When I did the upgrade, the fans started spinning but there was no display showing anything. After removing the cooler and touching it with my hand, it became hot and received power. Then I put the old i3 back in and it worked properly, logging into Windows. If anyone knows what might be causing this issue, please help. I suspect the problem could be related to the BIOS update on a Lenovo motherboard, or maybe the board itself doesn't support upgrading the CPU. Thanks for your advice and any suggestions you can offer.

Your motherboard model might not be compatible with the CPU. It could require a BIOS update or other adjustments. Could you provide the model number?

Suggest checking the available BIOS version and looking up recent updates online. I went through this when moving from an i5-4570 to an i7-4770k on an OEM board—comparing versions and updating if needed.

I don't have a motherboard, but I can help you find information about it if you tell me your system requirements or what you're building.

The 4670K isn't compatible with this board. Supported CPUs here exclude i3 and pentiums. Accepted options include i7-4770 4, 3.4GHz, i5-4670 4 cores 3.4GHz, i5-4570 4 cores 3.2GHz, i5-4430 4 cores 3.0GHz.

Great, let's move forward with selling the CPU.
