Updated the BIOS and then this occurred...
Hey there! Your Ryzen 7 2700X with the MSI B450 A-PRO board works well, and updating your BIOS to version 7B86vAC should be fine. The changes you're seeing are normal after an update. If you want to revert to the original layout, you can try resetting the BIOS settings or using a recovery tool, but be cautious as it may affect stability. Let me know if you need more details!
Press F1 to reveal an advanced view shortcut for customizing the BIOS interface.
From July of last year onward, all BIOS versions for that motherboard model 7B86vA8 have adopted the "lite" setting. The chip wasn’t big enough for advanced graphics or full support for nearly every AM4 processor. Something had to be sacrificed, and fortunately MSI made the decision to simplify the graphics options.
Pressing F1 didn’t yield any useful results, which suggests a different UI is in play. Yeah... that kind of thing is frustrating but makes sense. I think it’s likely because I’m using the latest BIOS version, so just grabbing any 3000-series CPU should work fine without extra steps. Of course, installing it correctly is still important.
