I chose to upgrade the BIOS on my ASUS TUF X570-Plus (WiFi) to the newest version. I bought it when I assembled the machine in January 2023. This is my fourth build, which shows I’m not a total novice—though it feels that way sometimes. In short, I used AI Suite 3 to update the BIOS in Windows, and it worked perfectly. After shutting down, I entered the BIOS updater and began the process. Then I encountered a black screen with a 'y/n' prompt; I initially selected 'N' several times, but it kept looping back to the same screen. After some research, I learned about Bitlocker and decided to try 'Y'. Now I only see this screen when I power on. I’m unsure what to do and would appreciate your assistance. Thanks, Jordan.

Ensure the CPU cooler fan is connected to the CPU_fan header, not in CPU_opt or case fan settings.

No surprises here. Updating BIOS resets fTPM, but it becomes a problem only with Bitlocker. Enter your key. All boards show a non-blocking safety warning if you don<|pad|>. Press F1 to turn it off in BIOS and proceed.

I own an NXZT AIO and haven't altered any of the cabling yet, though I'll verify later. The AIO appears in the BIOS settings. I currently use LianLi fans for my CPU cooling, but it seems those are set up via USB.

You can turn off the CPU fan error alert by adjusting your BIOS settings or disabling the fan control in your motherboard's BIOS.

It appears the option is located under the Asus fan management submenu. You can simply select any fan in this header.

Interesting! All BIOS versions include that "safety function," and it doesn't recognize pumps connected elsewhere, likely because it was designed for simpler boards with just one header.
