I just completed my initial build with a friend yesterday. (Info below.) But I have a few questions. Which drivers would be necessary and where can I purchase them? Should I install the Ethernet, SSD, or drivers like DX13? Also, is there a method to automatically update drivers? What software do experts suggest for better performance? Things like GeForce Experience? Lastly, what tools are recommended for stress testing and monitoring systems? That’s really important. I also learned that running stress tests too long might harm the system.

Get the drivers for your GPU from the storage connected to the motherboard—it's all you need.

Begin by checking if you don’t have a second computer—download the Ethernet drivers from your motherboard’s disk. Then visit the sites for the motherboard, GPU, or CPU to obtain all necessary drivers. For a better performance, consider using free antivirus tools such as Ccleaner, Spybot, or Avg, though I’m not sure about stress testing. Hope this helps, Wolffangs147

Mobo drivers are available on the Asus product page for your model. Ranger GPU drivers can be found on nVidia.com to stress CPUs using ADIA64 or Intel Extreme Tuning Software. Avoid Prime95 for CPU and Furmark for GPUs. Unigine Valley or Heaven are free tools for testing GPU performance.

@ Guilty Baby, no, don't put them from the disk. Get them online instead. If you need to install your LAN driver from the disk, visit your motherboard site at http://www.asus.com/nz/Motherboards/MAXI..._Download/. Download all necessary drivers—LAN, Audio, Sata, Chipset. If you're using a graphics card, skip the graphics ones for the board. For your graphics card, download AMD drivers here and Nvidia drivers here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us. For your Intel rig (I see your signature), download the Intel Update Utility to keep drivers current: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect. Also, install Intel Extreme Tuning Utility for stress testing: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/m...ility.html. After downloading everything, install the chipset drivers first, then Sata, then LAN, then graphics, then audio. Finally, run the update utility and ensure your drivers are up to date. Once that's done, execute Intel Extreme Tuning and perform a stress test—about three hours on stock should be sufficient. Most systems handle memory tests well; if you prefer, run memtest86 for a more thorough check.

Check the site for available updates and decide based on your needs. Downloading all may be better if you want to ensure compatibility with every version.

Usually, unless you need extra features, a minor patch or BIOS upgrade offers little value. To update your BIOS, get the newest version and apply it. Avoid beta releases—stick to officially released ones.

This also covers chipset drivers since there are four listed on the site. The versions available are 10.0.0.1204, 10.0.14, 10.0.17, and 10.0.20. You might just need to download the latest one, 10.0.20. Thanks for the useful details!

Always choose the most recent BIOS version since the newest one includes updates transferred from the prior release into the updated BIOS. Simply copy the file straight onto the USB drive that’s set up for FAT or FAT32 formatting.

It's great to observe how smoothly this community functions. Cheers everyone! Ninite.com makes it easy for beginners or anyone needing several programs simultaneously. For system stress and monitoring, here are some useful tools: Benchmarking options include 3DMark06, 3DMark, Unigine Valley & Heaven, CINEBENCH, ALLBenchmark, Novabench, SuperPi Mod; Stress tests you might try are Kombustor, OCCT, Aida64, IntelBurnTest, and Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (for Intel only); Monitoring software such as MSI Afterburner, CPU-Z, HWmonitor, OpenHardwareMonitor, HWiNFO, CoreTemp, RealTemp; plus Speedfan, GPU-Z, Speccy.
