Greetings!

I recently acquired a new computer with these specifications:
i9 9900k (unmodified)
RTX 2080 Ti (unmodified)
32GB Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz DDR4

When playing Battlefield 5 at 1440p on Ultra settings, utilizing DirectX 12 with FutureFrame disabled, I consistently achieve frame rates between 100 and 144 frames per second, with fluctuations based on the specific map. On some maps, I’m seeing frame rates as low as 115-120 fps, occasionally dropping to 99.

I’m curious if this performance level is typical or if there might be an issue with my hardware. Thank you for your assistance!

It appears fine. What makes you suspect an issue?

I appreciate your response! I noticed that some benchmarks using the same hardware configuration achieved somewhat higher frame rates. I attempted to overclock my system utilizing AI overclocking, but unfortunately, it has resulted in complete instability. However, I’m wondering if this is the appropriate place to seek assistance – should I create a new discussion instead?

Thank you for your response! I noticed some performance tests using identical hardware configurations that achieved noticeably higher frame rates. I attempted to increase my system’s speed through automated overclocking, but the result was complete instability. I'm unsure if this is the appropriate place to request assistance, and should I create a separate discussion? If the system becomes unstable after overclocking, it’s recommended to disable or reduce the settings. You possess top-tier components; I advise against risking damage through aggressive overclocking.

BFV benchmark discussion:

Thomas Wanko:
I appreciate your response! I noticed some performance tests utilizing similar hardware configurations demonstrating slightly better frame rates. However, I suspected that those users may have been manually optimizing their equipment.

Yesterday, I attempted to automatically overclock my system using AI Overclocking and unfortunately experienced significant instability. I believe this is perhaps the inappropriate place to seek assistance, should I instead create a separate thread?

If overclocking results in instability, it’s advisable to disable or reduce the settings. You possess premium components; I would advise against risking potential damage through aggressive overclocking.

Hello again, and thank you once more for your support!

Following a CMOS reset on my motherboard yesterday, all components reverted to their original factory specifications. I recently updated my BIOS to version 0805, introducing a new feature termed “Multicore Enhancement.” By default, this setting is configured to Auto, representing ASUS’s automated CPU optimization.

Should I simply maintain it in the automatic mode?

Many thanks again for your assistance.
Best regards!

I’m unsure of the function of that setting, but if it's configured that way by default in the BIOS, I would simply leave it as is.
