Reset the CMOS, try one device in an optimized port, after successful POST add the other and start rebuilding the BIOS like DOCP/XMP settings.

MrMase, I'll try this in the morning. I'm really tired today. How long do you think these "optimized slots" have existed? I've always picked slots 1 and 3 by default.

1 and 3 are my standard settings originally from Intel, but with an AMD build it changed to 2 and 4, which surprised me

I reset the CMOS and powered it on using both sticks in the optimized slots—it functioned properly. I forgot the BIOS setup at first, but now I’m entering it and adjusting settings. Is there anything left to tweak?

Happy to hear that. For BIOS settings, I’d aim to adjust the following based on your ASUS system: activate XMP/DOCP for memory overclocking, turn on 4G encoding, enable a resizable bar, disable CSM, and ensure Secure Boot is active.
