Updated processor and MOBO version released.
Hey everyone, I just got my new motherboard and CPU. The PC powers on and fans spin, but the screen doesn’t appear. My monitor is working perfectly. Here’s what I have: Aorus B550 Elite AX V2 CPU, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus, Corsair CMW16GX4M2A2666C16 RAM (2x8GB at 2666MHz), and a Corsair TX 750M power supply with a 1TB Samsung 860 QVO SSD. I’m really confused—I think I’ve tried everything and still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Check for a specific POST or beep code to identify the device. Verify if the monitor is connected to the GPU port.
I considered this earlier but recalling the B550 wasn’t released with the (non-G) 5000 lineup. I remember the X570 launched alongside the 3000, though I thought the B550 was delayed and appeared later with the 5000 series. If that’s accurate, then the motherboard packaging should indicate compatibility with the Ryzen 5000 series or a BIOS update might be required.
No problem. I recently upgraded to a newer BIOS version after using a 5800x with B550 Unify, which required updating via BIOS Flashback before posting.
DP is linked to the GPU. I haven’t changed the BIOS. The box confirms it’s an AMD Ryzen 5000 desktop ready.
Updated your bio information. Just verified the details: B550 released on June 16, 2020; Ryzen 5000 came out November 5, 2020. Your board got its first BIOS on August 7, 2020. The first compatible BIOS for your motherboard was September 18, 2020. Latest BIOS arrived February 16, 2022. I recommend updating it using a USB drive and another PC. Need assistance? I'm confident this is the right fix.
The information provided doesn't indicate any changes. Please refresh the bios and let me know.
