Updated PCI network interface card
Updated PCI network interface card
Hey there! I can see you're looking for a more reliable and faster network card. Since your current model is outdated and not performing well, you might want to consider a modern PCIe-based Wi-Fi adapter under $30. Options like the ASUS ROG Strix GX 900 or the TP-Link Archer AX7200 offer good range, speed, and value without breaking the bank. Let me know if you'd like more details!
Avoiding USB and inexpensive random cards for $30, I recommend the TP-Link Archer T4E card. It’s only WiFi 5 but it significantly outperforms your current setup. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kz8j4D/...r-aa528899
It actually counts a bit. These are two completely distinct positions. I think you're referring to PCI-e.
It really counts because you can use an AX200 (WiFi 6) or AX210 (WiFi 6e) card for PCIe, though it would only work with WiFi 5 devices on PCI.
I have a MSI B350 PC Mate with a PCIe 3.0 16x port for the graphics card, a PCIe 1x port for the Wi-Fi card, and a PCIe 2.0 16x port for my sound card. The top PCIe 1x slot is blocked by the graphics card, so I can't use it. I'm unsure if that slot is enough for Wi-Fi 6.
Current WiFi cards are typically limited to PCIe 1x options because they already provide ample data transfer capacity.
