So yesterday i got my r5 5600 and of course installed it on my mobo (prime a320m-k), the pc starts fine but theres no video signal, then i swapped it out again for the old one because i thought maybe theres spmething with the bios, so i tried updating it to 5862, but it keeps saying "selected file is not a proper bios", after some research i think i tried everything possible and dont know what else to do. i think its because my current bios doesnt support the r5 5600 and the new one doesnt support my old a10. I really need help. (GPU: Rtx2070S) Edited January 24, 2024 by ln547

Did you unzip it correctly? If your BIOS update didn’t work, your previous CPU might have functioned. You might have taken a different action.

You're connecting your HDMI or display cable and wondering about a discrete GPU.

I used a 2070S model and connected it to the DP port. After launching the PC, the screen appeared briefly before immediately going black. There was a signal detected at startup.

Check the 5606 specifications before proceeding. Make sure you're using the correct motherboard model to avoid issues with the BIOS.

I have already set it up to 5606 but it isn't functioning properly.

You may require a processor compatible with both older and modern BIOS versions, such as a refurbished Ryzen 1000 or 2000 series.

No need to worry, you can go ahead with the return. If you're looking for a replacement, consider getting a newer model like the RX 6500 XT or RX 6600, depending on your needs.

You can borrow it from someone close or buy an affordable used version, just to update the BIOS and enable the 5600.
