Hello! You're planning a hardware upgrade next week. Your current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5500 with 32GB RAM and an MSI A320M Pro motherboard. You'll be moving to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a B550M PRO 4 motherboard, keeping the same RAM. Some online videos suggest you can simply install everything without changes, while others recommend following installation guides. I understand you're unsure—please let me clarify what steps to take. Thanks!

Both processors are identical brands and models. You should be able to use the SSD without changes. I didn’t reinstall anything during the upgrade from the 3900X to the 5900X, and there were no problems (about two years ago). Just remember to update the BIOS and reinstall chipset drivers.

I rarely set up PCs with these issues, will it detect Windows automatically during SSD installation?
