I just completed assembling my first PC and have been running some basic tests. It seems my graphics card is significantly slower than before. In most games, I’m only seeing very low FPS even at lower settings. I’ve updated the drivers for the card and the motherboard’s drivers are current too. I’m not sure what to focus on or check to improve this performance. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

PC Specifications:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
- RAM: G.SKILL Flare X5 32GB (2 x 16GB)
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
- Motherboard: MSI MAG X670E
- Storage: WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe M.2 2280 2TB HDD
- Power Supply: Seasonic PRIME TX-1000
- Monitor: Acer XB281HK
- WiFi SSD: WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe M.2 2280 2TB

Turn off the integrated graphics in the BIOS settings. It seems the system is attempting to use that instead of the 7900XTX. Disabling the iGPU on my 7700x was necessary because it caused confusion in some applications. MSI afterburner initially only recognized the iGPU until I turned it off.

Huh? The IGP supports passthrough on an nvidia GPU? Why don't AMD advertise these features? They're actually pretty useful, except buggy, apparently. First off, can you run some benchmarks for the CPU only (e.g. cinebench) and for the CPU+GPU (e.g. 3D Mark) and then hopefully we'll have a baseline for what might be wrong.

I received numerous alerts about old drivers since I didn’t update the Radeon drivers and relied only on Nvidia versions. Turning off the integrated graphics was the most effective fix.

All the issues are resolved. Once I turned it off, it worked exactly as intended. Appreciate the help!

Perfect! Glad it worked! Happy gaming on your new rig Just remember that if you ever have to RMA the GPU for any reason, to turn on the iGPU in the BIOS before sending the GPU back. You can't access the BIOS without any graphics, so its important to turn that on so you can still use the PC for web browsing and Youtube while waiting for a new GPU. Oh, and welcome to the Forum If you have any troubles, you know where to write.
