Hi. I’m really confused about my new build. MB: Gigabyte x670 Gaming X AX (biosF8) CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5 6000MHz C30 DC 32GB AMD EXPO from an old build 970evo NVMe 500GB for Windows 970evo NVMe 1000GB most played games Corsair 750W PSU 1.5 years old I don’t remember the exact name. Gigabyte 2080S Gaming OC I upgraded my PC and reinstalled Windows. From about three days ago, I’m facing lots of issues. I can’t turn the PC off using Windows—it just stays in a black screen and the fans run slowly. Instead, I have to press the power button down to shut it off. I can’t open Ryzen Master or GCC (Gigabyte Control Center) and none of the programs work; it just seems to be stuck. After a fresh install, things work again only after the PC has been turned off completely. I’m getting a BSOD with the message POWER_STATE_DRIVER_FAILURE. I’ve tried every tip and trick on YouTube and Google to fix it. If I unplug my USB from the ports and plug them back in when the PC is on, they don’t work until I reboot and turn it off. I’ve updated the BIOS (F7 and F8), reinstalled Windows three times, but I’m still unsure what to do next? I’m considering sending it back for a replacement warranty, which should give me two weeks of coverage.

Did you attempt the installation without using Expo? Please share the Windows version and build you used.

I've also attempted without Expo, I think it's around version 22 something. I'm not on the PC right now, but it seems to be the latest Windows 10 Home update.

Assess your storage condition with Hard Disk Sentinel. Look for firmware improvements via Samsung Magician. Evaluate memory performance with Mmemtest86+ or PassMark memtest.

Check prime95 largeffts, if it doesn't work, clear your RAM. If RAM repair doesn't help, replace the motherboard.

I'll attempt that later too. I've never worked through these before—it's usually just plug and play.

Could the issue stem from a faulty GPU? I noticed it spins but no light indicators appear, which shouldn't happen.

Provide the dump files as requested. If you encounter any problems, check C:\Windows\Minidump for existing files. If found, move the Minidump folder to the Downloads folder on your desktop (or use OneDrive if available). Compress the copied folder and attach it to a post.
