I experience unexpected restarts or freezes on my new PC. Often during idle, sometimes while working or gaming. I receive minidump files but recently lack permission to open them or even compress them. I've attached an older version for reference.

System specs: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS, WiFi II, Corsair Vengeance LPX, 2x32GB RAM, Gigabyte Radeon RX7600XT, Samsung 990 EVO Plus, 2TB Seagate Barracuda, Farboko USB C, PCIe card, Corsair RM650, 80 Plus gold. All drivers are current.

The problem appears to involve the Asus Asmedia USB driver. I've tried my best to fix it but need guidance on further steps. Thanks, Christoph.

When attempting to open one of the recent minidump files, I encounter an unusual result. This happens despite having admin privileges.

You can verify your RAM using Memtest86. You might also update the newest USB driver.

I've started it now for two passes and there were no issues. Perhaps I can let it run all four overnight. It takes a long time. The asmthub3 drivers I have are 1.16.41.3, but Windows doesn't update them further. I also tried SDI, but it didn't work either. After some searching, I found the latest version 1.16.61.1 and downloaded it from the Microsoft update catalog, but I still can't update them.

I haven't visited the Asus motherboard support page yet. Could you confirm if you've checked there for driver information?

Yes I also have armoury crate installed and it also says that the drivers are up to date. But I found the issue... and feel a little bit stupid. I thought it must be the motherboard because when I googled the driver name I only found motherboard related entries. But when checking for the drivers now I found out that its a USB C driver and then I checked the PCIE card. And in the middle of the text on the amazon page it says that the card does not work under Win11. I removed it now and the asmthub controllers are gone. I guess I will not use my front panel USB C then... But thank you a lot for the hints!
