I connected my ISP modem to resolve problems with our smart home gadgets. I have two routers using different SSIDs, LAN IPs, and subnets with multiple ISP IP addresses. Each router has an Xbox X. Everything works fine except during COD in a multiplayer session with both consoles. It sometimes removes us from the party or blocks us entirely. It doesn’t seem to be the game itself, so I suspect a network issue. Could ports for COD interfere? Might a switch help? Please share any advice. I’m new to networking, thank you!

Your ISP device operates in bridge mode, which means its firewall shouldn't be enabled. You'll need to set up port forwarding on both routers. If you're using the ISP box in bridge mode and paying for an additional IP address, you should have Ethernet cables connecting the ISP box to each router.

Are you certain you’re receiving two public IP addresses? It’s uncommon nowadays to provide more than one, as they are a rare and valuable resource.
