Yesterday I was running a B450 Tomahawk Max II with a Ryzen 3400G processor. My system uses Corsair DDR4 3000MHz 16GB RAM and BIOS H.00 -Combo-AM4 1.0.0.6. Should I consider upgrading to the 7C02vH5? What advice do users and experts give regarding this APU setup? Appreciate any suggestions.

Review the bios notes for relevant adjustments. Check if they address any key problems or resolve issues you're facing. If not, it's best to skip it.

I understand your focus on the USB section. The new AGESA version addresses compatibility issues. Earlier updates in 2020 refined support for AMD AGESA ComboAm4v2, enhancing device recognition. Prior to that, the 2019 release optimized AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors and improved BAR resizing with graphics cards.

The 2020 release might offer some improvements in AM4 compatibility and an AGESA update, but it doesn’t appear to deliver significant value for your setup. Since you lack a 5000 series processor and resizable bar support isn’t compatible with your hardware, the potential benefits seem limited. The latest BIOS updates are only relevant if you’re experiencing USB issues such as mouse disconnections or slow performance. Upgrading unless you have specific USB problems wouldn’t be worthwhile for you.

USB problems. Initially connecting the printer caused the PC to take a long time to boot and shut down from a particular port. Once removed, everything worked fine. Recently I found reports about similar complications with this board. After that, my mouse vanished, then after a reboot it kept disconnecting repeatedly. Some USB ports refused to function properly. My mouse eventually stopped responding completely. Following these difficulties, I had to flash the BIOS with the note 'Improved USB device compatibility' and turned off USB selection suspend settings. I'm waiting to confirm if everything functions correctly over time.
