Hello, I’m just looking for some guidance. I recently upgraded my rig from a 350 and 1600 to a B450 Tomahawk Max with 3600W power. I have the R5 3600, PowerColour RX 5700 blower style, EVGA 550W fully modular power supply, Snowman CPU cooler, 16GB RAM, 4GB LPDDR4X, and a 3000MHz Viper Patriot. Is this setup suitable for gaming in 2020? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Could have retained the Abu 350 motherboard since it works well with a Ryzen 3600 and saved some cash, though it’s acceptable for 2020.

I discovered a solid offer and decided to buy both. I think I can secure a decent price overall by combining the 350 and the 1600 together.

I’d prefer to stick with the B350 board and remove the Tomahawk if possible. It doesn’t provide any improvement and adds extra cost. Unless you’re thinking about upgrading to something like a 3900x, it’s not worth it.

I did it so I could stay ahead of the curve; if later I needed a faster CPU, I’d be able to upgrade or add more RAM when possible. I secured a good price, so I’m prepared and the next step will likely be boosting the RAM to 32GB dual-channel with higher speeds—maybe around 3400 or 3600MHz—to give the GPU and CPU a bit more power. A snowman cooler could save me about £17 on eBay.
