I've just upgraded from version 3202 Beta to 3405, but I'm not seeing any output. The BIOS isn't showing up, and after waiting 15 minutes for a boot, I still can't connect to the static IP I assigned. I'm attempting to flash again via the Flashback port, but it's failing. If that doesn't work, I'll have to revert back to version 3202. This is running on a X570-F 5900x RTX3090 with Zotac Saberent NVME 32GB and RGB lighting.
I completed my setup last week. The system started normally, updated the BIOS to v3405, set defaults, installed Windows 10 and drivers. When I powered it off, it wouldn’t boot and the POST lights stayed off. I removed the battery, cleared CMOS, but still couldn’t get a start. I reached out to Asus Tech Support, who advised returning the device. They refused to let me install an older BIOS version. I also tried a different power supply and took out the graphics card, yet it didn’t boot. Tech support suggested swapping the RAM and testing with one stick at a time. I ordered another G.Skill F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC 16GB 2x8 and plan to run RAM diagnostics when it arrives. I’m certain I’ll need to send the motherboard because everything functions well when it boots. I’ve been monitoring their site for BIOS updates but haven’t found any yet. Other users seem to be facing similar issues in forums I’ve checked. You can restore the BIOS from the original disk included with the board. Load it into the DVD reader and disconnect all other drives. Choose the BIOS recovery option, which will install the factory version provided. Ensure your CPU is compatible with the first revision before proceeding. Once the BIOS is recovered, you can upgrade it to any version required. Wishing you success and a pleasant day!
Asus released an updated BIOS on March 12th, version v3602. I applied it and the issue was resolved. Before the release, I contacted their tech support twice, but they didn’t recommend using the DVD for BIOS recovery. I hope they had better options. Thanks for the reminder—I’ll keep it in mind.
