On a Kindle there are few options beyond the standard setup, particularly for newcomers. The default OS runs Linux with BusyBox and ALSA. You can add an X server on certain firmware versions by installing Arch ARM inside a chroot environment. This provides access to all Arch ARM packages. A Gentoo or Debian chroot might also work. In short, it’s not feasible unless you’re comfortable making changes.
