Update your custom settings to include the affected Windows 11 apps.
I'm experiencing inconsistent display quality on my 4K monitors. Some apps appear sharp while others look blurry. I found a solution by adding the executable of those problematic apps to the custom settings and selecting "high performance." This worked for Chrome after I restarted it. However, some built-in Windows features also show blurriness. For others, I’m unsure how to add them or if there’s a way to set everything to use high performance. I have multiple desktops (W11 and AM5 iGPU) and work at the office (W10 with Nvidia P2000 GPU). All monitors are identical, yet only certain applications are affected. Power settings are set to "high performance," but it seems these aren’t recognized as mobile devices. I’ve tried various fixes like adjusting display scaling, updating drivers, and checking device manager entries for the Radeon driver. The issue persists even when changing the scale setting. It seems most discussions focus on laptops with manufacturer-imposed limits, but I’m not sure if a universal solution exists.
On 10 you'll find a display setting in Windows that aims to improve app clarity—works well across all applications. Check if 11 includes this feature as well.
I found the suggestion but it seems to trigger more searches. It points to the Microsoft store, though no app appears visible. I also attempted DPI scaling, which didn’t help. How can I fix blurry apps on Windows 11? I’m looking for Radeon driver info and ways to adjust desktop settings to mimic a laptop.
At work (W10) this option isn't available. At home (all W11) it might not be present or labeled differently. On W11, the only functional setting I found is to manually add the "exe" to a list, similar to what's shown for Chrome in OP.
