Hey there, I have a question. I just switched my laptop to Windows 10, but it was still using Windows 7 Home. I’m wondering if I can do the same update for my desktop. I know there’s no free upgrade option for Windows 8.1 Enterprise, so will I need to purchase the version to get it running? Are there any alternatives or workarounds I could try? Also, what about the programs I installed on my old machine—can I still use them on Windows 10? I’m not sure because I wiped everything off my laptop.

Unless your setup includes Server 2012 and specific Windows 10 licenses, this upgrade won't work
