The updated version runs smoothly now, but I still have the Windows.old folder as if I reinstalled it and kept the old files. Should I remove them or should I retain them? It's a 13.4GB folder.

It's safe to remove them, but you won't be able to revert to the earlier Windows version using recovery tools. Deleting the folder means you'll have to start fresh with a clean installation of the desired Windows version.

It depends on your situation. Keeping them now might help if the new update causes issues, but you should also consider whether they’re still useful or safe.

I usually just remove it. You can retain it for a short time to check functionality before deleting.

It will delete itself after 10 days. If you're eager to remove it, use the cleanup tool for "old Windows installations" instead of deleting manually (you might not be able to do that).

You have no way to remove it for unclear reasons.

Use disk cleanup tools. Find an online guide. We don't guarantee data safety.

Yes, it will be removed automatically later, probably after a month.
