Update the processor clock settings in Windows through the Device Manager or system properties.
I explored regedit and adjusted the processor name, which was enjoyable. However, I was curious about modifying the clock information immediately following the CPU name. For instance, if the name appears as "Pentium Dual Core xxxx @2.1GHz," you might expect a different display after changing the name to something like "Core i7 xxxx @ 6.00GHz 2.30GHz." I wondered if there’s a method to alter this display so it shows an artificially high clock speed for fun or pranks.
Change the ProcessorNameString values within the registry entries.
Initially I did that, though the displayed time remains visible after the name.
